I just realized the dude im playing this week in fantasy baseball has Ryan Braun...that lil bastard is coming back to spite me again! First against my pads, then against my team...I got no love for Braun
The only highlight of the night: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-b...-catches-foul-ball-padres-game-194317986.html
Bartlett makes his fifth error of the season....I think I am going to switch over from cutting Hudson to cutting Bartlett.
Bartlett and Hudson both need to go....... ECab/Parrino and let Bart/Hud ride pine unless there are suitors for trade which I doubt highly
as much as I dont like O-Poodle, you are right. How bout them Pads @ Petco? Giving Volquez solid run support as always...amazing. He should have at least 1 win by now...
Seriously Volquez was outstanding tonight.....Definitely his best outing of the season. He seems to just get better and better every time he pitches.
shame it didnt happen one inning earlier so Volquez could get his first W as a Padre...he pitched his A** off like you said
He did pitch pretty well. Volquez just doesn't impress me. It just seems like he flings it up there and hopes for the best with no control. His change is nasty though.
I think you are a bit overly critical of him. He's been very good this year, and has pitched well enough to have 3 more wins
His change is nasty....I can see your point especially after the way he started the year, but he seems to have found a little more control recently only walking three in the past two starts. Don't know if it will last, but I'll cross my fingers because when he can limit the walks, Volquez is downright dominant.
We all have to remember Volquez has made 6 starts so far, 5 of them have been at Petco. I have been very impressed with Volquez, but it will be telling to see how he does away from Petco. I think I will gauge the barometer at that point..
lol fo sho..whatever works! It would be pretty sloppy D wise with Kotsay out there, but if he can hit with RISP like he has...who cares?
Suppan was fantastic today....and our defense was really good. This is the team I thought could play .500 at the beginning of the year.
damn you guzman! It was 3-0, perfect for a street sweeper and a save for my fantasy team... I will forgive you someday.
I don't have a problem with Deno starting over Venable, and Kaotsay in LF until Quinten is back......best chance to win........ Keep Parrino at SS, bench Bartlett while you're at it
no errors, thats some kinda nice. I would even try Deno in CF and Venable in RF/Kotsay in LF to give Maybin a break. He did great today though.
Let Kotsay stay on the bench that is where he is most productive. Same with Deno. More predictive as a spot starter.
You also said the Padres were going to win the west and go the world series so you are bound to get 1 right
