Padres the .500 club ?

  1. Ok so the Padres need to win 23 of the last 34 to reach .500 ..... Considering the way they've really turned it around since the break, and how they've played recently......Anyone think it's possible ? I mean considering all that would really be a helluva way to end what started out as a total S*** season....
  2. I think there is a good shot this team ends at 500.

I dont think so just based on the pitching but the team has been much more fun to watch since the break and that's all I care about.

It will be tough to actually get up to .500. Still got six games against each of their divisional opponents, of which San Francisco and Los Angeles are fighting for play-off spots. Plus home series against contenders Atlanta and St. Louis. However, I don't think a win total in the mid to upper 70s is out of the question with six games each against Colorado and Arizona, with maybe passing Arizona for third place and getting into single digits in the games-back column.

I hope they make it to .500 this year. If they didnt, I'm happy from what I am seeing in the 2nd half. Im excited to see what they can do with a healthy pitching staff next year.

Heard on the broadcast tonight that since June 10th, the Padres record is 40-30, the best in the NL West in that time-frame.

It would be interesting to watch how to go from here. I'd say keep this thread and see where it goes.
  10. This is why I discussed this team getting to .500 folks
