When he doesn't try to nibble he can be pretty ok.....but man that 10 cent head really gets in his way
A 19 inning game by the Pirates on Sunday also helped his cause....Volquez is as bad as advertised, he has had a couple good outings but dont let this one fool you. He still had 3 walks, which is probably one of the lowest walk totals all year for him...
True SDSU.........but............that could be attributed to more than one thing.......I think they originally had him thought of as a #3 type, which I agree is still too high, but injury forced their hand
The guys with speed have really hit the past few games. Headley's on fire, he definitely has carried the team offensively this season alongside Quentin.
As much as I would love the sweep today, I don't think its happening since we have a rookie on the mound to make his debut.
Smack I hear yah, but that could go either way.......He's new so they haven't seen his stuff either and they could all be shut down for a game.....
jebus I thought I was still on the west coast for a second there....looked at the clock and it was 3:30......lol.......ugh sorry
anybody know anything about Werner?? Stay hot Maybin and Venable..wow! They are putting up incredible numbers this homestand.
I guess you are right haha. I have higher hopes for Werner than I did Germano though. Germano was F****** terrible. At least Werner has the K in his arsenal.
Germano is still playing ball...hes actually with the Cubs, crazy uh? I couldnt believe it when I saw his name in the probable pitchers one day.
nope, hes in the starting rotation for the Cubbies. This was from 8/20 fantasy news: Germano took a 3-1 lead into the fifth, but then the wheels promptly fell off, as he and reliever Jeff Beliveau combined to allowed eight runs, with five hits and six runs coming with two outs. The right-hander had been pretty solid for the Cubs, allowing two or fewer runs in three of his first four starts, but he’s finished the sixth inning just once. He’ll get the Rockies at home next.
gotta love the top of the order consistently getting on base this series...Cabrera and Venable have been 1-2 studs.
Grant on the broadcast said his number one pitch is the sinker, followed by the change-up. Undrafted out of high school and collage, signed out of a independent league after a open tryout by the Padres.
They did a great job shutting down the likely NL MVP. 5-27, 4 runs, 2 RBI, and a stolen base. through music, you can live forever...
