I dont like Saturdays matchup, so I am thinking Pads win 2 of 3. I believe this series will be closer than most think it will be.
The Padres have been doing so well winning series that they were not supposed to. Now that were playing a series that we are supposed to win makes me a little uneasy. However if the Padres can win 20 of their last 30 games, they will end the season at .500.
Don't take a series win for granted. Colorado has been playing good as well. Fifth best NL record in August (Padres are third).
Nice game for Maybin tonight. Gregerson made it interesting at the end. Overall, I'm satisfied with the win.
In another note the Padres are just 9.5 games back on the Wild Card and they do play teams contending for one of those spots in September (Arizona, Los Angeles and St. Louis)...just sayin´!
Fowler grand slam puts this one way out of reach. Does anyone know who was called up? Burns pitched and I think he was a call up, plus Thatcher and Cashner both come off the DL. Is there anyone else?
Yeah...I thought Burns was demoted when Kelly came up, but it was Boxberger. So I guess there hasn't been any callups yet.
Can't complain about the offense today though. Glad Headley is on my team through music, you can live forever...
