  1. Just Say no to Whiney Ned.

Unless the Padres are rebuilding, I don't think Yost is the answer.

  2. Is Randy ready?

    Couldn't resist. Sorry.

Not necessarily a bad thing. But I do have some reservations about alot of control about in-game strategy decisions coming from the front office. Don't expect it of course during the actual game, as in the manager receiving phonecalls from the GM's box in the six inning. But the manager does know the players more.

Didn't Ready come up to the Padres with the other September call-ups and spend the month on the Padre bench?

Promoting from within doesn’t mean it has to be a manager in the Padres system.
  8. Ned Yost...could be interesting. But then again so could be Randy who knows the kid so much. If they are having a new manager he has to be the perfect fit for the team. That is if they go all young.

    Hopefully Hensley gets traded.

    Yeah, he did.

I wouldn't mind him. He seems to have done a deent job in Portland, and since a good chunk of next year's staff has been playing for him for a while already, there wouldn't be too much transition for them.
  10. Rumors on the Dallas Morning News has Gerald Laird and German Duran coming to SD for Kouzmanoff, Leblanc(it also names several other Padres pitching prospects including Garrison and Ekstrom), and Venable.

The blog goes on to talk about Blalock, who is entering his option year, being traded to the Dodgers for prospects.
