    I have no idea who Laird and Duran are, only that Laird is a catcher and wore number 15 for the Rangers.

    Laird is a decent catcher and Duran is a 3B prospect. The trade really doesnt make sense. I wouldnt be suprised if those names were thrown around, but a Kouz/Leblanc/Venable trade for those 2 will not happen unless we are trying to pay them back for Adrian/CY

    Perhaps just local reporters and radio talkshow hosts in Rangerland speculating and dreaming to fill space?

    Personally, I don't see the Padres trading for a catching prospect unless Hundley and/or Morton go.

    He is not a catching prospect. Laird wouldnt be a bad choice though to platoon with Hundley.
